First of all, let us introduce you to Lumiere 2018. Coming back to the capital for another year, this festival of lights will feature works of 40 best lighting display artists who will invade the city with the most extravagant light installations and amaze Londoners once again with their stunning creativity. Visit King’s Cross, Fitzrovia, West End, Mayfair, Westminster & Victoria, and South Bank & Waterloo on 18-21 January to discover the stunning artworks.

The next three events are for those of you who love to fill their weekends with art and coffee. This January you absolutely must visit the Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion exhibition at Victoria & Albert museum to discover how Cristóbal Balenciaga’s exquisite craftsmanship and innovative designs shaped modern fashion. The Harper’s Bazaar 150 – The First and Last Word in Fashion exhibition displayed at Fashion and Textile Museum celebrates the 150th anniversary of America’s first fashion magazine and highlights key moments and images in Bazaar’s history. Finally, North: Fashioning Identity is an exhibition that explores contemporary artistic and stylistic representations of the north of England. Enjoy these three expositions to emerge yourself in the fabulous world of fashion culture.

However, if you prefer to put yourself up for an extreme challenge, this month marks the opening of another Barry’s Bootcamp studio, the ultimate fitness experience, in Victoria South London. The fantastic trainers at Barry’s Bootcamp are ready to kick your butt and get you back in shape for summer 2018, so what are you waiting for to get them gains?!

Another unmissable spot within our top 7 is the Crossrail Place Roof Garden in Canary Wharf, a 300-metre enclosed roof garden in the middle of the city with free access. Perfect spot to relax for a couple of hours and appreciate nature!

It’s that time of year again and London has upheld the longstanding tradition of making you feel like a 5 year old who still believes Santa is on his way. Apart from the festive lights and the Christmas music, Hyde Park’s hidden gem, Winter Wonderland, made it’s way back for the 11th time. In case you haven’t had a chance to pop in for a visit, here are some reasons why you may want to re-think that:

1. The adrenaline

Oh no, I am not confused, that was correctly written. Winter Wonderland has many rides that you will love regardless of your preference- from the Air for thrill enthusiasts to Ice Mountain for those who are curious to see what the Arctic is all about.

2. The food

It would be impossible to try to fit all the food options here. Hinting on some highlights though, there is a Bavarian village and it is even bigger than previous years since it comes with the traditional Octoberfest experience included: The Almhütte. In the case that rusty wooden chalets and flame grilled salmon is not for you, there are numerous street food options as well as the Arctic Lodge and the Carousel bar to help you brave the cold during your visit!

3. The Christmas shopping:

No need to panic over Christmas shopping anymore, you can stumble upon anything you want here. The Angels market has anything you could wish for while doing your Christmas shopping.

4. The karaoke

Bar Hütte gives you the chance to rent your own hütte (drink included in the ticket) and sing-a-long to the Christmas classics. If all else fails, karaoke-ing with your friends is bound to bring out your festive self!

5. The Bar Ice

It is all you could imagine in an ice bar, and even more! The only thing it is not, is warm and cozy (the temperature is -10°C!)- but they’ve got you covered! You’ll be provided with a winter cloak and gloves on arrival.

The grandiose tribute to festive fun is worth a peek, especially considering that entry is free and opening hours accommodate all: 10 am to 10 pm. Remember, you only have until January 1st (well, there is always next year – but why wait?)

Colindale guide: 5 must visit places

1. Bang Bang Oriental Food Hall

One of the great things about Colindale is that the area is so close to the center of London. Just take the tube and within 25 minutes you will find yourself in the middle of tourist attractions, markets, and shopping streets like Buckingham Palace, Borough Market, and Oxford Street. It takes no time to get from quiet and chilled Colindale to the busy streets of Central London. Also, the night tube is running Fridays and Saturdays on the Northern line which makes coming home from a party in Central London very easy.

1.Regent’s Canal
